2020年新西兰怀卡托大学新设课程更新及介绍

    向大家介绍以下将于2020年新设的课程。这些课程已经开放20202月(Trimester A)intake的申请。

 

1. Master of Applied Finance (MappFin)

    The Master of Applied Finance is an 18 month Masters programme that allows students with a bachelor's degree with an element of quantitative study or proven in-work experience to gain a masters level qualification in Finance. Students will have 24/7 access to a brand-new Finance Trading Room opening in February 2020 ready for our first cohort of students. The programme includes an opportunity for a workplace internship. Employment opportunities include; Investment Adviser, Banker, Share Broker, Financial Analyst, Business Analyst, Financial Adviser.

 

2. Bachelor of Engineering with Honours - new streams

    Mechatronics Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering are now available streams to our existing Bachelor of Engineering with Honours offerings. This gives the University of Waikato a comprehensive offering in Engineering and students will participate in 800 hours of work experience (which is often paid) during the programme.

 

3. Bachelor of Design - Industrial Design

    Industrial Design is offered as a major under the Bachelor of Design and includes papers across design and engineering to help students build a foundation of engineering and design principles. In the third year of study students take a compulsory internship paper. Students gain skills to be able to design products that are functional, durable and beautiful in appearance. The programme can lead to employment in manufacturing companies in design roles.

 

4. International Diploma of Business (IY1)

    Offered in partnership with Waikato Pathways College, the International Diploma of Business is a 3 trimester direct entry pathway to the second year of the Bachelor of Business qualification at the University of Waikato. It is best suited to students who have completed the equivalent of 32 credits across three University Entrance approved subjects, but have not achieved New Zealand University Entrance. The programme combines the seven Bachelor of Business first year papers with an academic English paper as well as academic development and support activities.

 

5. Bachelor of Health

    The Bachelor of Health with majors in Biomedical Science and Population Health focuses on preparing graduates to be able to make changes in systems and practices to support equitable outcomes for individuals and their communities. Our graduates will have knowledge and skills that are practical and transferable, allowing them to practice in ways that exhibit an understanding of health as it relates to the individual and community and will be equipped to work across the health sector.
